Who doesn't love a well created image? Great images are a part of our world. The idea of capturing a moment that speaks to us has long been the reason many enjoy this industry. Nature, Landscape, Fashion, etc. created by some of the best in the world, are admired for years through various mediums. It doesn't get better than that!
I was one of those teenagers who grew up loving beautiful images. I would love taking photos on vacations and at family parties, but that was the extent of it - I was just taking photos. It wasn't until a vacation in1998, that I realized there was a difference between taking a photo and creating an image.
It was a visit to an art gallery in Ohio that allowed me to experience the most beautiful image I had ever seen. Once I saw it, I knew that I wanted to learn to create images that were just as beautiful. So, a few months later, I purchased my first DSLR and set out to shoot the world. However, I soon realized that my images didn't look anything like those I saw in the magazines or in that art gallery!
That day, I left the gallery with a desire and passion to learn all I could. So, in 2003, I set out to find a mentor who would train me on how to effectively use my equipment. I eventually located the perfect mentor, and as they say...the rest is history!
I began working as a second shooter at weddings. But, in 2007, as soon as I was given the opportunity to sit in on a portait session - I knew I was hooked! The thrill of knowing how to light an image, the posing, the make-up and hair, it's what I live for each day. And the joy of each client as they walk away feeling beautiful - that's for me! I love what I do! I have been blessed with the opportunity to work with AMAZING people...And, I look forward to creating for you as well.
